1. Using Cheru
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of cheru.co.ke and Cheru's property search, market information, account, enquiry and Estimate services. By using Cheru, you agree to these Terms.
2. Cheru's role
Cheru provides property discovery, market information, automated guidance and ways to connect with property-related services. Unless expressly stated otherwise for a particular service, Cheru is not a party to a sale, purchase, tenancy, loan or other agreement between users and third parties.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for providing accurate account information and keeping your login credentials secure. Please notify Cheru if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
4. Listings and availability
Property information may come from owners, agents, developers, public sources or Cheru's own records and may change without notice. A listing does not by itself verify ownership, title, planning status, condition, availability or every detail shown. Important transaction information should be independently verified.
5. Market information
Asking prices, observed market ranges, guide rates and other market information are provided for context. They may be based on incomplete or changing evidence and do not guarantee a completed transaction price or future market outcome.
6. Cheru Estimate
Cheru Estimate provides automated property-value guidance based on available property and market information. It is not a formal valuation and does not guarantee a transaction outcome. See How Cheru Estimate works and the Estimate Disclaimer.
7. Calculators and decision-support tools
Calculators and other tools provide illustrative outputs based on the information and assumptions entered. They do not determine lending, tax, legal, financial or professional obligations.
8. News, Guides, Insights and Research
Editorial and research content is provided for general information and may become outdated. It should not replace advice tailored to your circumstances where professional advice is appropriate.
9. Your submissions
You may only submit information, images and other material that you are entitled to provide. Information intended for publication may be displayed as part of a listing or other Cheru service.
10. Acceptable use
You must not misuse Cheru, interfere with the service or its security, attempt unauthorised access, submit unlawful or knowingly misleading material, impersonate another person, introduce malicious code, or use the platform in a way that harms other users or Cheru.
11. Automated access
Automated access must not bypass technical controls, compromise security, overload the service or materially interfere with normal use. Cheru may apply reasonable technical measures to protect the platform and its data.
12. Intellectual property
Cheru's branding, interface, software and original content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Third-party and user-submitted material remains subject to the rights that apply to it.
13. Third-party services
Cheru may use or link to third-party services, including maps, location search, authentication and communications providers. Those services may be governed by their own terms and privacy practices.
14. Service availability
We may add, change, suspend or discontinue features, and Cheru may occasionally be unavailable. We do not guarantee that every feature, listing or record will always remain available.
15. Professional advice
Where a decision requires legal, financial, tax, planning, surveying, lending or valuation expertise, you should obtain advice from an appropriately qualified professional.
16. Information and responsibility
Cheru is designed to help you make better-informed property decisions, but you remain responsible for evaluating the information you use and independently verifying transaction-critical facts. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
17. Protecting Cheru
We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect Cheru, our users, our systems or third parties, including in response to suspected misuse, security threats or material disruption.
18. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date and provide additional notice where appropriate.
19. Questions and disputes
If you have a concern about these Terms, please contact Cheru first so that we can try to resolve it. Any dispute remains subject to applicable law and the process available in the relevant circumstances.
